The Mars Planet Appeasement Anushthan is a highly effective Vedic ritual aimed at pacifying the negative effects of an inauspicious Mars (Mangal) in an individual’s birth chart. In Vedic astrology, Mars is considered a “malefic planet” (Paap Graha). When Mars is placed in an unfavorable position or its dasha, antar-dasha, or pratyantar-dasha is active, it can cause various obstacles and crises in life.
Mars symbolizes energy, courage, physical strength, and inner willpower. However, when its influence becomes unfavorable, these very qualities may manifest negatively, leading to aggression, conflict, and instability.
A Mangal Dosha or Manglik Dosha arises when Mars is located in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house of the horoscope. This dosha can lead to instability in marital life, tension, health issues, failure in important tasks, and mental disturbances like anger and frustration.
For this reason, the Mars Planet Appeasement Anushthan is not only performed to pacify Manglik Dosha, but also to remove all kinds of problems in life caused by the unfavourable position of Mars.
The specialty of this Anushthan is that it includes the chanting of Mars’ Vedic Beej Mantra 40,000 times, followed by a Havan with one-tenth of the total chants. This process is performed strictly according to the rituals by trained Acharyas. The purpose of the Anushthan is to pacify the fierceness of Mars and make its influence favourable.
