Empowering Education: Amada India, CCSE, And Innovative Project Management Unite For Bengaluru School Development

Education is a fundamental pillar of any society, as it plays a crucial role in shaping individuals and preparing them for their future. Unfortunately, underprivileged areas, such as those in Bengaluru, often face persistent underfunding in the education system. This creates significant challenges for students and teachers alike and perpetuates cycles of poverty and inequality. One of the primary reasons for underfunding is the lack of resources and financial support from the government. The budget allocated for education in underprivileged areas is often inadequate and insufficient to cater to the needs of the students. As a result, schools struggle to provide adequate infrastructure, resources, and teaching staff. This can lead to overcrowded classrooms, insufficient textbooks and materials, and a shortage of qualified teachers. Moreover, parents in underprivileged areas often cannot afford to send their children to private schools, which may offer better education and resources.

As a result, public schools in these areas bear the brunt of the underfunding, leading to a vicious cycle of inadequate resources, low-quality education, and limited opportunities for students. In order to address the issue of underfunding in schools, Amada (India)Pvt Ltd (AIPL) has partnered with the Centre for CSR & Sustainability Excellence (CCSE), the implementation arm of Innovative Project Management Services Pvt Ltd, to upgrade the infrastructure and refurbish the premises of a government lower primary school in BK PALYA, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The project aims to provide a conducive environment for primary school students, enabling them to have the best possible learning facilities. AIPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Amada Co., Ltd, Japan, and was established in April 2000 with its registered office in Bengaluru. The company has a functional Technical Center and Vocational Center in the same city and sales and service engineers stationed in various other cities across the country. The North Satellite Technical Center in Faridabad caters to the northern region customers. Mr. Niraj Seth, President of Amada (India) Pvt Ltd, highlighted the persistent underfunding of the education system, he said, “There are thousands of children enrolling in government schools in India every year. But only a small percentage of them complete their education successfully. This platform will allow for a unique opportunity to connect with underfunding schools to serve with good infrastructure and basic amenities and with these, children can be attracted to schools and can have a comfortable place for learning.”

CCSE is the not-for-profit implementation arm of Innovative Project Management Services Pvt Ltd and aims to lend practical support to the National Education Policy, 2020. The project will be implemented by Global Concern India, a Bengaluru-based implementing agency. The partnership between CCSE and AIPL aims to use a two-pronged approach to upgrade the school infrastructure and refurbish the school layout to provide efficient comfort amenities such as clean drinking water, washrooms, and recreational areas.

The project is set to begin in November 2022 and is expected to have a significant impact on the education system in underprivileged areas. Dr. Soumitro Chakraborty, CEO of Innovative Project Management Services Pvt Ltd and Chairman of CCSE, emphasized the importance of creating the required infrastructure and providing support to underprivileged children and said, “Our children are the future of this country.

With the vast majority of them still living in underprivileged areas, wherein basic school education facilities are a hardship, the onus lies upon us to create the required infrastructure and provide support so that such children look forward to attending school daily, as well as learn efficiently.

That’s exactly what this project aims to accomplish.” Improving school infrastructure in rural areas is critical to prevent children from dropping out of school, especially in remote areas. The project partnership between CCSE and AIPL will contribute to the improvement of school infrastructure in underprivileged areas, enabling more children to
access quality education.
